Jelena Skracic (b. 1991) is a photographer, graphic designer, artist, and drummer in the making, based in the Bay Area, CA.

Originally from Zagreb, Croatia, she grew up in a highly artistic household with a musician father and a visual artist mother. Surrounded by siblings who were also artists and punks, she found a safe space for creative expression in the punk scene, which became a global family as she started traveling and living abroad.

As a punk immigrant who adores traveling and actively engages with the punk scene, Jelena finds joy in documenting countercultural efforts internationally. She creates graphics using both digital and analog mediums, often mixing both, and has designed multiple show flyers in the Bay Area's burgeoning punk and darkwave scene. As a photographer, she enjoys shooting live bands, capturing the essence of their expression and emotion during high-energy performances. The ability to freeze a moment in time and translate the elated feeling of the moment on stage or in the crowd drives her to further experiment and evolve her art, understanding what works best compositionally, situationally, and emotively. Grateful for the punk scene as a safe space for her creative expression, Jelena cherishes her global punk family and her dog, Masha.
